Some of the things we have enjoyed the most are the feel of the neighborhood with its beautiful landscaping and the friendly neighbors that we have met. The neighborhood is family friendly, dog friendly and offers residents access to walking trails and an updated playground. Everyone we know is invested in the upkeep the neighborhood and you can see as you are driving into the area. There are multiple neighborhood functions during the year to let folks get to meet each other and get to know their neighbors. These include block parties, wine nights and neighborhood yard sales. Providence Oaks is in the Warren Township School District for high schoolers and Woodland District for elementary and middle school children. We had four children at home when we moved here and were ages that were in all these grades. We feel these are some of the best schools in Lake County! Gurnee has ample shopping, health care services and recreation, however another thing that we discovered after living here is the ease of access to the tollway and highways to surrounding areas. If you have a need to commute this is a great improvement in many cases. In also decreases the time that it takes to get to Chicago and we are located halfway between O'Hare and the Milwaukee airport. The back deck is lovely in the good weather and has plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors with others. The trees in the yard are full of birds and squirrels. There are bunnies every year and we have enjoyed watching the wildlife over the seasons. This home has been a work in progress for us and we hope you love it too if you decide to make it your own.
